Family friendly.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel which we booked due to availability of a family room and we were all (grandparents, parents, children) very happy with the choice. The family room had bunks & a separate toilet in the children's area and a balcony. Both rooms were large and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and accomodating. Lovely location. Good Food. Great breakfast. Modern bathrooms. Terrace. Swimming pool & sauna (Towels provided) great after a day exploring the area. Parking.

The price-performance ratio was right for us as we got a good deal during the off-season.

Quiet location on the outskirts of town, excellent evening meal and very rich and varied breakfast!
Some of the service was very friendly, but unfortunately not all of it was competent and there were some language difficulties (as is the case everywhere in the catering industry, they had to make do with unskilled staff).
Our rooms, especially the bathroom, were very cramped.
Unfortunately, the majority of people in the swimming pool couldn't resist taking the loungers in the morning, even though they weren't in the pool and the saunas didn't open until the afternoon.

Reasonable stay - nice location

Stayed here recently and we had a large double room with mountain view.
The stay was comfortable but the hotel is in need of updating/modernisation.
There is no lift or air-con, but the room we had was comfortable enough as it had a balcony to sit on to cool down.
Car parking is free which is always a reason to pick such a hotel over others that charge.
Be aware though that although car parking is on-site near the entrance the number of spaces are limited (approx. 8 to 10 spaces I think).
The staff were friendly and were interested in having conversations and breakfast was pleasant (food choice was typical 'continental' buffet - sliced meats, cereal, croissants etc).
The pool is also pleasant, especially when you have it all to yourself on a quiet period.
Hotel location is only a few mins walk to an Aldi supermarket, there are also a couple of good restaurants within 4 or 5mins walk, and then if you walk for about 10mins towards the south and exit the village surroundings in to the nearby fields, you get great views of the mountains.

Terrible Do not stay here

The hotel manager is the worst person I have ever dealt with in my life. Customer service was non existent. As a hotel concierge myself, you always have to give excellent service to all your guests and visitors. The manager did not want to deal with any problems, location is not safe and no security what so ever. Ended up staying at the Best Western which was the best decision in my life. Please if you are a first time traveler, traveling with family, newlyweds; this is not a place for you or anyone. Beware keep away. Ruined my whole Germany trip.

Quaint and fitting

Stayed here for just one night to break up driving to Italy. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was included in my booking price with a great selection. Room was clean with a beautiful view. Didn't have a chance to use the sauna or pool. Pet friendly for my dog :) only a couple minutes drive from Garmisch.
