Nice little hotel in a quiet location

A nice, quietly located hotel. The room was very clean and the bathroom was pleasantly large. The beds were a bit too soft for us. There was a good selection at breakfast, not just the usual rolls but also delicious types of bread. The food in the adjacent restaurant was very delicious and beautifully presented. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Top family-run hotel

Very nice guest service, top price-performance ratio, super clean. And even if it has aged a bit, one feels very comfortable there.

Very competent staff who are open to problems and suggestions; small issues are resolved quickly, making it a highly recommendable hotel in a quiet area.

Always recovering!

My second home in Essen! When I spend the night in Essen, it's always at Sengelmannshof. Loving hosts with heart. Room top and newly renovated. Down-to-earth cuisine at fair prices. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired!
