The staff were very helpful. I was able to park my motorcycle in the (unlocked) garage but it was safe and there is video monitoring. Good breakfast and nice spacious room overlooking the Rhine. I would like to visit again soon and stay for longer.

Between the Rhine and the railway line

The Hotel Diehls is directly on the Rhine between the river and the railway line, not far from the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz.
The ambiance, even if inviting, is already a bit from another era in some parts of the hotel. The rooms could be noisy for some guests, depending on subjective experience and the location of the room - but earplugs are provided.
There is a small seating area, air conditioning, and a small refrigerator with water. In addition to a hair dryer, the bathroom also has shower gel, cotton pads, a magnifying mirror, etc.
Wi-Fi worked reliably.
Check-in and check-out (the latter would have also been possible digitally, due to payment having already been made) were uncomplicated.
The service was friendly and multilingual.
The price-performance ratio was appropriate.
For an additional charge, one could have also received breakfast, which we opted out of - however, we ate at the Diehls restaurant the evening before.
We did not use the in-house swimming pool.
There is a free parking option directly in front of the hotel entrance.

No tea and coffee-making, uncomfortable beds. On the wrong side of the river from everything of interest, so without a car, we had to use taxis.

To avoid

Outdated room
View of the river obscured by vegetation. But especially the railway line that runs at the foot of the hotel with trains every 10 minutes all night long. Only the staff is friendly. For the rest, I do not recommend.

We stayed for one night and had a very pleasant experience. We arrived right at check-in (3:00 PM) and were lucky enough to secure a parking spot right by the main entrance, which made settling in very easy.
Room & Location
The hotel is situated right on the riverbank, positioned below the railway tracks. While the hotel thoughtfully provides earplugs in the room as a precaution, we found that we didn't need them. We had booked a room with a river view, and as long as the balcony door was closed, the soundproofing was excellent. The view of the water was definitely a highlight of the stay.
Breakfast & Transport
The standout feature for us was the breakfast. They have a dedicated chef who prepares fresh omelets to order—the perfect start to the day!
In terms of getting around, the hotel is conveniently located near public transport, with a bus stop situated right by the local Lidl.
Amenities
Due to our short stay, we didn’t have the chance to try out the sauna or the hotel restaurant, but the overall atmosphere and service were great.
Pros:
Freshly made omelets at breakfast (excellent service!).
Great sound insulation when the balcony door is shut.
Convenient parking and easy access to buses.
Cons:
Some train noise is audible if you prefer to keep the balcony door open.
