Lovely stay at the Hilton Berlin

The location is perfect with beautiful views of Berlin just outside the hotel. It is centrally located and walking distance from checkpoint Charlie and other sites are within walking distance or a quick U-Bahn away. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Be aware there is an "incidental charge" ours was E250 for 5 nights in case you use mini bar etc. we checked in early this cost E65 and the city tax is E45 these were taken out of the E250 at the end of our stay. I think it is the perfect hotel to stay to see Berlin and have a lovely rest. The pool there is lovely too.

Fantastic hotel. The staff was helpful, a nice breakfast and the placement is perfect for your visit to central Berlin. Some parts of the room would need some refurninshing or modernization. But it's not much of a concern.

The staff were excellent and Tony (concierge) was very helpful in providing recommendations for restaurants in the Berlin.

Still thrilled even a year later

I was already at the Hilton Berlin at Gendarmenmarkt a year ago and decided on this hotel again this time – and was not disappointed once more.
The stay was once again pleasant all around and I was very satisfied with the service and the quality. It is nice to return to a place and find that the good impression from last time is confirmed.
An excellent location at Gendarmenmarkt and a hotel where you simply feel comfortable. I would love to come back!

Good location, but some staff in need training to be up to Hilton standards

Honestly the hotel is not bad, rooms are a bit outdated but overall good. Plus the location is great, very central and you get a beautiful view of the church at breakfast.
Their pool is in need of refurbishing but is ok. The service staff at reception are very polite however the service in the lobby restaurant...really need training. They will let guests sit there without approaching and would never even go a little out of their way to make it a bit more comfortable for the guest. That was probably the most disappointing part of the stay.
