Good value

Spent the weekend of River boat days 2016 at the Rainbow Inn. The room was very large, clean and quiet. We had a spare bedroom, a kitchenette and our little dog was welcome. Close to town and restaurants.

Older Motel But The Price Is Very Affordable

We stayed at this motel on August 10, 11 & 12, 2018 while attending the Skeena Valley Country Music Festival.
We wanted a room with one queen bed but we got a room with two queen beds, which reduced the available space considerably.
The very noisy air conditioner was crudely installed in the window with the space not used for the air conditioner filled with cardboard.
The unit we were in was obviously very old and in need of maintenance.
This was a kitchen unit with a full size fridge and kitchen range both which worked well. There was sufficient dishes, cutlery and towels for kitchen use.
There was a free-standing fan which worked but the supporting post leaned badly and also required maintenance.
The unit was clean and each day we received clean towels and wash cloths for the bathroom.
It appears that there are newer buildings, also part of this motel, with modern air conditioners and amenities. If I stayed there again I would insist on one of the newer units.

Nobody to register us

We booked online and gave an estimated time for check-in. There was no one at the front office when we arrived. We rang the bell and waited for over 30 minutes while also trying to call. There was no answer to any of our calls, no one ever came down, and we ended up leaving to stay somewhere else. Very disappointing as we were only looking for quick/easy accommodations for one night and were forced to pay twice the rate at hotel.

Felt Like A Workers' Campsite

Since the suite door latch was previously compromised, it was difficult to completely open, close and lock this door. The bedroom window was hard to completely open and close; did not want to lay on bedspread as it appeared to have dark footprints on it. Telephone was plugged in and there was no service, no dial tone.. even after checking plug = a dead phone. Several trailers with occupants parked inside motel circle and at rear of property appears unkempt and sloppy possibly attracting rodents… ugh!

Updates are needed

Older room but clean. Bath facet sprayed water everywhere. Stove door could not open due to window sill. Decent price. Need a better pillow selection. Our coffee maker did not work, it was replaced and second and third one didn't work either. Our unit had an electrical issue I think. There was no outlet in bathroom. Free internet but not working most times. A bit out of town so next time we will pay a bit more and stay closer to the centre.
